But we all know what is truly important cannot be found in dry details, and you know what's not dry? Alcohol!
So I made a little alco-log to describe what I like to drink in different circumstances of life, I think you can learn a lot about a person that way.

What I drink at rehearsals:

I usually don't drink during rehearsals, but sometimes when you're in a room for five hours and most people are grasping to potentially lethal instruments, a few beers help boost the moral.
Sam Adams always works for me, and sometimes I stay true to my Belgian Heritage and drink any kind of Leffe (usually brown but only because it's most commonly in stock).

What I drink while ligging:

Liggin is a term that refers to the dead hours between the sound check and the show.
Sometimes you are stuck in the middle of nowhere, that's when a few shots with the band come in handy.
Ligging recreational drinks will include Vodka shots and Arak shots. Arak is an anise type alcohol that goes well with grapefruit juice or just with a shot glass.

Show drink:

Water. Need to get over the ligging buzz.
Though I highly support audience alcohol consumption.

Drinks when I am at other people's show:

Rum and diet coke.

Long Island Ice Tea.

Favortie drinks when going out:

Champagne!
I can drink that sucker in any form. Cheap kind, expensive kind, short glass or tall, I love them all.

Best form is a glass of champagne with a vodka chaser.
It looks great on the table, and it has just the right zing of flavor and strenght.
If I am in a smokier mood, whiskey is the dark side alternative.
